2019年4月中旬，接北京市政工程總公司和北京自來水公司的東城區自來水管網改造的管道切割工程需求后，天津市先鋒管道工程機械有限公司立即組織人員去現場進行勘測和進行自來水管道切割的實施方案的確認。管道切割的地點位于北京天安門以東1.1公里的東長安街，金水河向北0.2公里處，管道材質為鋼管，DN400，作業坑深度3.3米，管道表面有銹蝕現象。由于地處位置比較特殊和過往的行人繁雜，白天交通壓力較大，同時考慮了應當錯過企事業單位和居民的用水高峰，此次管道切割方案時間定為夜間10點以后進行。
Because the whole construction time applied by the water supply company is short, the time of this pipeline cutting project is only 25 minutes. Due to the tight time and heavy tasks, Tianjin Xianfeng pipeline technicians and the engineering demanders jointly determined the scheme that the self-climbing hydraulic pipe cutting machine (pipe climbing machine) can be used together and started at the same time. The pipeline cutting scheme and emergency management scheme formulated by Tianjin Xianfeng Pipeline have been affirmed by the engineering demander and implemented after approval.
2019年4月25日晚10時，管道切割工程按照工程方案和人員安排計劃按時實施。由于準備充分，兩臺自爬式液壓切管機在兩臺泵站的帶動下，僅用17分鐘就圓滿完成了切割自來水管的任務，為后續的管道工程工作贏得了寶貴的時間，贏得了工程需求方的好評和感謝。
